Bicheno is well known for its Fairy Penguins that come to the shores every night for breeding and feeding their youngs. We don't have to wait for long until some of the small birds pass us on their way to their nests.

We are lucky to meet an Echidna during the day as they are more nocturnal animals - one of the only two mammals that lay eggs!
