02/05/2003: The symbol of Tasmania: The Tasmanian Devil is very common, but hard to see. Usually it comes out of its holes only deep in the night. It is the largest (living) marsupial carnivore, feeding mainly on carcasses as it's too clumsy to catch a lot of prey.
