04/18/2003: We are very lucky to see some Orca Dolphins. These big dolphins even attack whales - that's why they are often called "killer whales".

04/17/2003: The carvings in the meeting house in Whaitangi are a perfect example for Maori Art. In this house - built to commemorate the 10th year of the Treaty of Whaitangi - every pillar represents one Maori tribe and their most important ancestors. Traditionally every tribe has such a meeting house and the pillars within represent all the ancestors of that tribe.

04/17/2003: Memorandum for the protection of our nature: this arch is not far from where the wreck of the Rainbow Warrior lies. To avoid protests against nuclear test, the French Secret Service bombed the ship in the harbour of Auckland in 1986.
