In the School of the Air children - who live too far from any school - are taught by two-way-radio. We had the chance to listen to a lesson of violin-playing ... a very interesting way of having school!

In Africa we crossed the Tropic of the Capricorn several times - since we arrived in Australia we cross it today for the first time!

Here it all began: this old telegraph station was the first building where today is Alice Springs. It was this station which brought the first Europeans into Central Australia.
