At a walk along the Katherine River in the Nitmiluk National Park we enjoy the view over the famous Katherine Gorge as well as a cool bath in the river!

in the relatively unknown Limmen National Park we visit impressive sandstone formations, called the "Lost Cities".

Not really spectacular, but at least our deepest river to be crossed in Australia: at the Calvert River many had to turn back.

The kangaroos make big eyes: we crossed the Mitchell River right before their eyes.

Either it has come at the wrong time or its name is a bit inappropriate: the Christmas Beetle.

This nearly four metres long kangaroo gives the place its name: the giant wallaroo we found between many other rock paintings on a three-hour-walk in the Laura-basin.
