We see the sea eagle often far above over our heads circling along the coastline of Malaysia. But at the "Long Beach" we see one of them sitting at the beach - to our surprise.
After it broke one wing some years ago, it decided to stay close to man - and to pose majestic for photos.

The "Long Beach" is a small paradise where many travellers meet. The protected bay is an ideal place to swim in the clear, warm water and to relax completely.

Invited to a beachhouse at Batu Rakit we enjoy some days of space and privacy ... and the delicious coconuts of the area!

In Kuala Terengganu we are invited to a Muslim wedding - a very special occasion of Malaysian culture. Having not much in common with western weddings, this one is more like a "going public". Neighbours (near and far), friends, family - everyone is invited for lunch and to congratulate the bride and bride-groom (with a small donation). After this short visit, everybody leaves again and makes space for the next ones to come.
A way of celebrating quite far from the European weddings.
