It happens quite often that somebody wants to take a picture of us, most of the time with the people asking on it. This time we also take a shot. In which photo-books we might appear?

Where is the sun? The rainy season shows what the name means.
To our luck most of the time it does not rain for very long - but long enough that it starts dripping also inside the car!

Along the eastern coast in South Thailand there are many prawn farms - in big ponds along the coast the delicious food grows to end on our barbecue ...

It is said to be the third biggest Buddha in the world which we find in the temple of Hat Yai, called Wat Hatyai Nai. 35 metres long and 12 metres high is quite impressive - even more when the morning sun enlightens the Buddah's smile!
The declining pose is quite important for the Buddhism because in this pose Buddha died for the last time - in this position his body was found after his spirit rose up to the nirvana.

Also in Thailand temples are often built into caves. In the main cave of the temple Wat Khuhapiuk there is a big declining Buddha.

To climb an oily Bamboo with only one leg is quite an effort!
Because of the 10th lunar month there are festivals in most of the temples all over Thailand and demonstrations like this are the highlights.

Our first camp in Thailand is so relaxing that we decide to stay a little bit longer. We are looking forward to discovering how travelling might work in this country!
